About Toby

Toby joined Mortgage Monkeys in 2026 and is a Mortgage and Protection Adviser based in Plymouth, with strong links to Tavistock where he grew up and went to school.

He helps first-time buyers, home movers and clients reviewing their existing mortgage, taking time to understand their circumstances and explain the available options clearly.

Before moving into mortgages, Toby trained as a teacher. That background has given him a patient, approachable and straightforward way of working, which fits naturally with mortgage advice. He knows that buying a home or arranging a mortgage can feel daunting, so his aim is to keep the process simple, clear and well organised from start to finish.

Toby enjoys getting to know his clients, answering questions in plain English and helping them feel confident about the decisions they are making.

Outside of work, Toby enjoys running events, snowboarding in the Alps, spending time with his two young children and anything Harry Potter or Star Wars.
